MEETING RICKY ON NEW YEAR’S DAY

I met Ricky on New Years Day, 1/1/06 at the SCG at an open training session.

I’d met all the other guys as well as the South African guys before but captain Ponting was nowhere to be seen to my dismay. It was a really hot day as well so my friends and I decided to go sit in the shade near Members for a while to cool off and to our suprise Ricky came out of nowhere and was now walking towards Members.

Quick as a flash my friends and I grabbed our things to get autographed and a camera and ran down to him. We asked him for an autograph and a photo and he was nice enough to give us both I remember him being incredibly nice and polite and I was very impressed All I can say is we are lucky to be blessed with such a well spoken captain
